This Rol-Air Direct Drive 2 HP Pancake Tank Air Compressor has great capacity for a highly portable electric unit. With a 125 PSI operating pressure, it displaces 7.7 cubic feet with 4.1 free at 100 PSI and has a 4.5 gallon tank capacity. It runs on a 115 V AC motor with manual reset overload protection and generates 2 HP at 3400 RPM. It features a cast iron cylinder for longer life, a square D pressure switch with on/off switch, regulator/pressure gauge, and a 1/4" quick disconnect with plug. This little pancake-tank compressor is a heavyweight in every sense of the word. It weighs a ton. Amazon lists the shipping weight as 63 pounds. I'm not sure of the exact true weight, but near to 50 pounds surely isn't far off. That makes it twice as heavy as some of the home center models. A lot of that weight is in the cast iron tank. It's a pain the neck (and back) to move around. But it also stays where you put it. It's loud. Rol-Air compressors have always had a reputation for being loud, and this model certainly qualifies. It's almost deafening close up. It's quality. Cast Iron, ball bearings, top quality pump. Heavy steel frame, good gauge and controls. Good fittings. Quality switch (Square D, in fact). It pulls a lot of power. Try to run it off an extension on a 15 amp circuit (or one with other tools) and you'll pop the breaker. Every time.
